How to get here:

Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines is located in Alsace dans le département du Haut-Rhin.


  • From Strasbourg : take the RN 83 or the A 35 to Sélestat. Take exit #17, then drive towards Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines.
  • From Colmar : take the RN 83 to Sélestat. Take exit #17, then drive towards Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines.
  • From Nancy : Take the RN 59 to Saint-Dié. Take the "Col de Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines". At the traffic-lights, turn right towards the "Le Bonhomme,Col des Bagenelles" and proceed as before indicated.
On in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines : drive to the town centre. At the traffic-lights, turn left towards the "Le Bonhomme, Col des Bagenelles". At the roundabout, drive straight on, still towards the "le Bonhomme, Col des Bagenelles" for about 300 m. Then,when you reach a butcher's, turn left and drive ut the small street for about 150m. And Here you are !

The Val d'Argent in a few words:

The Val d'Argent is located in the heart fo Alsace, in the Parc Naturel Régional des Ballons des Vosges, near the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle, the "Route des vins" and the "Route des Crêtes".

You can discovert the rich architecture of ou valley, visit the "Maison de Pays", its mining, mineralogical and textile museums, a chool museum, old silver mines of the WVIth century and a sowmill "Vincent".

There is a lot going on throughout the year : The Euro Mineral, "Bourse Internationale des Minéraux", a European patchwork exhibition called "Carrefour Européen du Patschwork", a film and music festival called "Festival aux chandelles" and the phenomenal "mode & tissus", i-e "Fashion and Fabrics" festival.

Visit this green area, relax in this beautifuf mountainous landscape where you can hike, horse-ride, cycle, swin, fish, ski, go potholing, etc... There i so much to do !!!
